Family Coffee Farm Experience Itinerary

Location:  Altagracia Village, Pereira

Altitude:  1545 m.o.s.l (5069 feet) 

Temperature: 22 C - 27 C

8:00 - 8:30 AM - Pickup

   - Pickup from your hotel in Pereira or villages nearby in a comfortable vehicle with a bilingual guide.

9:00 AM - Arrival at the Family Coffee Farm

   - Welcome and introduction by the local coffee-growing family.

9:30 AM - Farm Tour Begins

   - Walk through the coffee plantation.

   - Learn about the history of coffee in Colombia.

   - Discover the family's traditions and daily life on the farm.

10:00 AM - Planting and Cultivation Experience

   - Participate in planting coffee seedlings.

   - Learn about the initial stages of coffee plant care.

10:30 AM - Coffee Harvesting

   - Hands-on experience in selecting and picking coffee cherries.

   - Understand the importance of selective harvesting for quality coffee.

10:30 AM - Coffee Processing Demonstration

   - Observe the traditional methods of processing coffee beans.

   - Learn about drying and milling techniques.

11:00 AM - Coffee Tasting

   - Enjoy freshly brewed coffee made from the farm's own beans.
